Miley Cyrus celebrated the 15-year anniversary of the debut Hannah Montana by writing a letter to the character she portrayed for four seasons.
In the note, posted to her social media pages, she wrote that Hannah Montana was like a “rocket that flew (her) to the moon + never brought (her) back down.”
The singer also shared the major life-events that took place on the set of the Disney Channel show, writing that her grandfather died while she was filming an early episode of Season 1. She fell in love for the first time during the series’ run, got her period while wearing a pair of white capris, and gained friends like costars Emily Osment, Mitchelo Musso and Jason Earles.
She closed the letter by adding, “Not a day goes by I forget where I came from. A building in Burbank, California with a room full of people with the power to fulfill my destiny. And that they did. They gave me you. The greatest gift a girl could ask for. I love you Hannah Montana.”
