Taylor Swift’s third re-recorded album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with biggest week for any album this year. This is Swift's twelfth No. 1, which surpasses Barbra Streisand's record for the most No. 1 albums among female artists. Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) earned 716,000 equivalent album units in the U.S., of which 507,000 were traditional album sales. That's the largest sales week for any album in 2023 and the best since Swift’s last album, Midnights, debuted with 1.58 million units (including 1.14 million in album sales), last October.

She had a total of four albums in the top 10 at the same time last week, as Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is joined by Midnights, Lover, and Folklore. The pop superstar is now the first living act to have four albums in the top 10 at the same time since 1966, when Herb Alpert also had four albums in the top 10. Swift is also the only act to have achieved a new No. 1 album in each of the last five calendar years — from 2019 to 2023.
