Texas State University is set to teach the world’s first university course on the work of Harry Styles.
Harry Styles and The Cult of Celebrity will be be taught in 2023. According to a tweet from the school’s associate professor of digital history Louie Dean Valencia, the class will focus on Styles and popular European culture to “understand the cultural and political development of the modern celebrity as related to questions of gender and sexuality, race, class, nation and globalism, media, fashion, fan culture, internet culture and consumerism.”
In an interview with KXAN, Valencia explained that the course will be similar to a history class and will address gender, sexuality, race, and globalism.
