Travis Scott’s concert at the Pyramids Of Giza has officially been canceled. “Despite highest efforts, complex production issues meant that the show could not be constructed in the desert,” Live Nation said in a statement. “We understand that this news is disappointing and not the outcome any of us desired.”

Rumors spread earlier this month that the concert had been canceled by the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate, due to “peculiar rituals performed by the star during his performance, contradicting our authentic societal values and traditions.” Live Nation denied the report, saying the concert was still going on as scheduled.

Scott also announced a new movie earlier this week called Circus Maximus, which hits theaters today. It features music from his new album, Utopia.
