Vanessa Carlton has helped Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson celebrate his milestone of 1,000 NHL games.
Carlton did so by remixing her hit "A Thousand Miles" and included Carlson-themed lyrics as a collab between the Washington Capitals and the production company Fresh Tape Media.
On the song, she sings, "Making his way down, Johnny C., the DMV and he's rink-bound. Arrives to Capital One, says 'What's up?' to his Stanley Cup from 2018. And we thank you. And we love you with your shot like thunder. Brought to the Caps in the year ’08. We've watched him score, we've watched him skate. Ooh, and you know he'll hit 1,000 games if we just wait for tonight."
