(PHILADELPHIA) — At least 13 people were killed in a row house fire in Philadelphia on Wednesday morning, a source familiar with the matter told ABC News.

“Preliminary information indicates companies arrived at 6:40 a.m. and found heavy fire coming from the second floor of a three-story rowhouse,” the Philadelphia Fire Department tweeted. “It took 50 minutes to place the fire under control.”

Mayor Jim Kenney is at the scene of the fire, in the Fairmount section of the city, and the Philadelphia Fire Department said it will be holding a press conference shortly.
