48 COVID-19 Deaths Reported Statewide, 4 in NW Oklahoma

(Enid, OK) Oklahoma reported 2,941 new COVID-19 cases and 48 more deaths, including four in Northwest Oklahoma, on Sunday, according to OSDH.

Garfield County’s COVID-19 cases increased by 93 on Sunday for a total of 6,614 overall since March, with 429 active cases, according to the OSDH.

Of the 48 deaths reported, 33 were in the 65 and older, 13 were in the 50-64 and one each in the 36-49 and 18-35 age groups, according to OSDH.

Counties of residence were nine in Oklahoma; eight in Tulsa; three each in Comanche and Custer; two each in Garfield, Cherokee, Cleveland Grady and Carter; and one each in Logan, Creek, Johnston, Delaware, Jefferson, Sequoyah, Okmulgee, Marshall, Lincoln, Mayes, McIntosh, Texas Osage, Pawnee and Washita.

There have been 3,279 deaths in Oklahoma where the virus was the cause or a contributing factor, OSDH reported.

Other Northwest Oklahoma county case increases on Sunday included 212 in Blaine, nine in Kingfisher, eight in Alfalfa, seven in Woodward, five in Grant, three in Major, three in Noble and two in Woods County.
