An Enid Public School’s Crossing Guard Struck by Vehicle Near Glenwood Elementary School

The Enid Public School District had an employee involved in an auto-pedestrian accident near Glenwood Elementary on Wednesday, October 11. It occurred at the intersection of Oakwood and Chestnut. Enid News and Eagle reports that Daniel Patrick Luskey was escorting students across the street when Roberto Cruz-Lopez made a right turn and hit the employee. Emergency services immediately responded to the scene. He was driving without a license or insurance and was subsequently arrested.

No students were harmed in the incident. The employee was taken to the ICU in Oklahoma City from Integris and then flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

“EPS has had an employee involved in an auto-pedestrian accident near Glenwood Elementary. Emergency services were called and immediately responded to the scene. No students were harmed. The employee was taken to the ICU in Oklahoma City from Integris.”
