Charlette Ringwald Interview here.

Charlette Ringwald from Main Street Enid talks about the upcoming Oktoberfest First Friday, which is also the last First Friday of 2023.

She started off by talking about the fest as a whole. Quoted by Ringwald, “This First Friday is our last First Friday of the year and it is Oktoberfest so we always try to end First Friday with a bang . . . it’s from 6 pm to 9 pm and lots of places are open late downtown so downtown will definitely be the place to be on Friday.”

Charlette also spoke about how this Oktoberfest is going to be more special than the previous ones. As stated by her, “Since we have our new breweries that opened up in the last couple of years, I think that is something that is really popular. Enid Brewing Company and Settlers Brewing Company set up a beer garden so you can get craft beer from both of those local breweries. And also Vortex Alley from Ponca City joined us last year . . . we’ll have some really great Oklahoma-brewed beers available, and they always do some kind of special Oktoberfest-themed beer as well.”

She mentioned why she thinks Oktoberfest is the most popular theme for First Friday. As quoted by Charlette, “It’s probably because of just where it hits in the year. The weather is a lot nicer, it gets darker earlier so it just kind of has that fun, festive fall feel . . . and having the food trucks, they really love to come out to this one, and when we don’t have the live music, we have a DJ, so they’ll be playing Polka music.”
