(Enid, OK) The city of Enid officially approved the COVID-19 emergency declaration last night along with three amendments. Only one commissioner voted no on both the declaration and the amendments.

With phase one officially in place, the amendments allow for funerals, weddings, and sports team practices to have more than ten people present. Weddings and funerals were included in the original declaration but were limited to less than ten people in attendance.

Ward 1 Commissioner Jerry Allen also included outdoor graduations for high school students. Those amendments will go in to effect on May 15th. Social distancing mandates are still in effect for the city of Enid, phase one can only transition in to phase two if COVID-19 outbreaks continue on a downward trajectory in a two week period.
