Enid is celebrating the Month of the Military Child to give a heartwarming experience for the military kids of Enid.

Starting on First Friday, the School Liaison for Vance Air Force Base will have a booth in Vance Alley in downtown Enid. They will have some trinkets to give out, such as L.E.D. light wands, stickers and much more to help get to know the local military kids.

Starting April 5, the L.E.D. lights on the downtown buildings will be purple to represent the Month of the Military Child color, and all Enid social media profiles to have a purple color scheme.

On April 30, Vance Air Force Base will have its Annual Purple Up parade in its housing edition on base. There will be cool floats, horns honking, and a lot of candy.

April is the Month of the Military Child, allowing us to honor our military-connected children and teens.
