At tonight’s Mayor and Board of Commissioners Meeting the city of Enid will vote on whether or not to approve the proposed budget for 2023-2024. Also on the agenda are funding allotments for 2023 CBDG projects in the amount of $491,970.
But the upcoming year’s budget is the only budgetary talk taking place during the meeting, also on the agenda is whether or not to increase the 2022-2023 city budget by $1,750,000. Another item of note is that the city commission will consider appointments to the Garfield County and Enid Public Library Board of Directors.
With recent controversies surrounding the library, political activists on both sides of the aisle will want the city to put the candidates they favor on the board.
