Enid Man Arrested for Rape Complaints, Soliciting a Minor

(Enid, OK) The Enid Police Department arrested 20-year-old Semion Asael Moore Ramirez, an Enid resident, on Tuesday on complaints of rape and using technology to solicit a minor.

Ramirez was arrested on Feb. 16th at around 1 p.m. at an Enid motel after communicating with a detective, posing as his 12-year-old victim, and leading detectives to the motel room.

Ramirez was arrested on two complaints of first-degree rape, two complaints of rape by instrumentation, one complaint of soliciting sexual communication/conduct with a minor by use of technology and one complaint of violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act, according to Enid Police Department .

Ramirez was booked into the Garfield County Detention Facility.

On Jan. 29, a report was made with EPD by an adult who said the 12-year-old girl disclosed that she was raped by a man, later identified as Ramirez.

According to the EPD release on the investigation, Detective Randy Wilson posed as the victim and used her Snapchat account to communicate with Ramirez. Ramirez arranged to meet with the victim on Tuesday afternoon at the motel.

Detectives arrived at the motel around 1 p.m. with the directions to the room given to them via Snapchat messages from Ramirez, according to EPD. Detectives notified Ramirez of their arrival and he was arrested.
