At around 9:00 am on Tuesday, December 26th, a huge inferno engulfed an Enid guest home near 7 Silver Meadow Lane. The Enid Fire Department rushed to the scene with other rural fire departments to stop the blaze from spreading.
No fire hydrants were available in the neighborhood so the firefighters had to rely on water tankard trucks to have the water to fight the fire. After about an hour the fire was put out, and no one was injured, and the main home was protected however, nearly the entire guest house was destroyed.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
