Over 1k New COVID-19 Cases Reported Wednesday, 2 Enid Residents Among Deaths

(Enid, OK) The state reported 1,078 new COVID-19 cases and 28 deaths, including two Enid residents in the 65 and older age group, according to Oklahoma State Department of Health on Wednesday.

Of the 28 deaths reported, 22 were in the 65 and older age group including four men and two women in Tulsa County, two Kay County men, two Creek County men, one man and one woman in Oklahoma County, one man and one woman in Garfield County, one man each in Custer, Rogers, Canadian, McClain, Carter, Dewey, and Stephens counties and one Comanche County woman.

The remaining six deaths were in the 50-64 age group including two Oklahoma County men, one man each in Caddo, Payne and Cleveland counties and a Tulsa County woman.

There have been 4,089 deaths reported in the state where COVID-19 was the cause or a contributing factor by the OSDH.

Garfield County’s COVID-19 cases increased by 41 on Wednesday for a total of 7,421 since the pandemic started, with 313 cases being active.

Other county case increases in Northwest Oklahoma on Wednesday included eight in Woodward, four in Noble, two in Alfalfa, two in Blaine, two in Kingfisher and one in Woods County.
