The 2023 Enid Walk of Fame ceremony will be happening on Saturday, September 16th at 9 am at Ballroom C in the Stride Bank Center. The Walk of Fame is an awards event for those who have demonstrated a lifetime of service to the community, have made an extraordinary contribution, or have performed an act of selflessness or statesmanship for Enid.
Each year, the awards are presented by the Enid Mayor and Board of Commissioners during the Cherokee Strip Days celebration. Everyone is invited to attend this award ceremony to honor the 2023 Walk of Fame honorees Dr. Jerry Blankenship and posthumous veteran end educator Jewel ‘J.W.’ Ridge.
Many downtown streets will be barricaded for the Cherokee Strip Parade. Walk of Fame Ceremony attendees can access the Stride Bank Center by way of the preferred barrier at the W. Owen K. Garriott and Independence Avenue intersection or by any other police-assisted barricades.
