The 4RKids Carnival happened on Saturday, September 23rd from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event was jam-packed with carnival games, face painting, carnival rides, a petting zoo in the back, and a lot of family-friendly events. Some of the games included a rubber ducky fishing game, a balloon dart throwing panel, a unique bottle flipping mini-game, and a bunch more. A lot of people were running around with butterfly face paint, spiderman face paint, and even some pirates. There was even a Chick-fil-A mascot moseying about keeping everyone’s spirits up.

At around 11:00 am, some cool competitions took place: a bubble gum blowing contest, a pickle juice drinking challenge, and a “Guess how many items are in the jar” mini-game. A couple won the gum and pickle juice contest. Our Journalist, Michael Soucek, won the cheese ball jar in the guessing mini-game.

The carnival rides were enjoyable to spectate. There were 3 rides: an inflatable dodging attraction, a spinning teacup ride, a swinging pirate ship, and a large rotating swing ride.

The 4RKids walk happened on the same day a little after the contests began. In a previous interview with the 4RKids Executive Director Rachel Mcvay, she talked about her sight towards the walk, and also the event as a whole. She states, “It’s nice to be able to see them happy and healthy and really able to participate in the carnival and walk.”

Overall, the event was packed with fun and games, and it was cool to see everyone happy and cheering about.
