The much beloved First Friday event returned to downtown Enid this past Friday.

Being the first one of the new season, everyone and their dog came to the event, literally! It seemed as if all of Enid was at the event. The sidewalks were flooded, the streets were bustling and good fun was had by all. This month’s theme was a carnival, so there were some carnival-themed events downtown, such dunk tanks with some familiar faces getting dunked! Our broadcast journalist Michael Soucek was able to send Mayor David Mason into the water on just one throw!.

Multiple food trucks were present such as Fat It Up and Burger Barn, while Kona Ice was also there selling snow cones. There was also live music and a tractor-pulled train ride

The Garfield County Firefighter Games also happened to coincides with First Friday. The competition was between firefighter teams from across the county participating in fire & rescue-themed games including Water Combat, Tug of War and Snake (Hose) Wrangling.

The next First Friday will take place on May 3.
