Two Enid Men were arrested on Thursday morning after attempting to use a stolen car to steal an ATM.

Cody Ray Jolley, 39, and Jason Samuel Kidd, 50, were taken into custody after crashing the stolen vehicle and attempting to flee the scene on foot. Both men are facing charges of grand larceny, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, eluding, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm after former felony conviction, possession of CDS and obstruction.

Kidd also had outstanding arrest warrants.

A jogger on Willow Ave. called 911 at 6:23 a.m. and reported a dark colored SUV backed up to the ATM building in the Heritage Village shopping center parking lot. The jogger said the two men had wrapped a chain around the ATM and were attempting to pull it from the wall.

The SUV, now dragging the ATM, was located by officers in the area and a pursuit began on Purdue Ave. The chase continued south on Cleveland St. until the SUV crashed near the railroad tracks at Oklahoma Ave.

Jolley and Kidd both attempted to flee the scene on foot, but were caught not long after leaving the vehicle. Officers searched the SUV and found guns, methamphetamine and a handheld police scanner.

The investigation is ongoing and both men could face further charges.
