Graveside service for Carmen Jackson, 97 of Enid, will be Monday, October 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Wellington, Kansas. Visitation with the family will be Sunday 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Carmen was born January 15, 1926 in Altus, Oklahoma to Cecil and Bonnie Moon Jackson and died on October 18, 2023 in Enid.
He grew up in Altus and the Texas panhandle. Carmen served in the Army Air Corp and married Dorothy Jackson and they had two children. He later served in the U.S. Air Force. After his retirement, Carmen served in the National Guard for 33 years. He worked for the United States Postal Service. After Dorothy’s death in 2004, he married Faye Gray in 2005. Carmen was a life member of VFW and National Guard Association. He was a longtime member of the Lions Club.
Carmen was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Dorothy and Faye; and son, Mike.
He is survived by his daughter, Gayle Kelso; three grandchildren and one great grandchild; brother, Claude Jackson; other relatives and friends.
