Donna Michelle Jackson
1965 - 2024

Donna Michelle Jackson was born on August 17, 1965, in Excelsior Springs, MO. She was born to Henry D. and Thelma J. Lewis. Donna grew up and attended elementary school in Excelsior Springs, MO. She was affectionally called by her family, Donnie and Phat. She had a huge personality, a great sense of humor, and always loved to smile. Donna loved the Lord, and at a young age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. February 20, 1970, she was baptized at Main Street Baptist Church in Excelsior Springs, MO, under the leadership of the late Pastor Rev Curtis Reece.

In 1978, Donna relocated with her mother and sister, Lisa, to Enid, OK. Donna graduated from Enid High School in 1983. After high school, she attended a cosmetology school and obtained her license in 1985. She worked as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at the Methodist Home for many years and was employed at Golden Oaks Village until her health began to decline. After relocating to Enid, OK, she joined New Light Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Billy Mucker, Sr. Under the leadership of Pastor Larry G. Featherstone, Donna was a very faithful, active member of the church and loved her church family.

While in Enid, Donna met the love of her life, Sullivan Jackson. They fell in love and were married on August 23, 2007, at Grayson Missionary Baptist Church in Enid, OK. There were no children born from this union; however, Donna gained four children: Courtney Jackson of Pine Bluff, AR, Ashley (Marcus) Canada of Melissa, TX, Stoney (Tomeka) Jackson of Fayetteville, AR, and Deondre (Asia) Jackson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and ten grandchildren. Donna and her husband relocated to Dumas, AR, in May of 2022, where they joined the St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Dexter McDonnell.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Henry D. Lewis, her mother, Thelma J. Toliver, and her stepfather, Jackson Toliver, JR. Her grandparents, two nieces, aunts, uncles, and a brother-in-law. Donnie leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Sullivan Jackson of Dumas, AR. Her siblings Evelyn Holt of Enid, OK, Gene (Shawna) Millentree (Kansas City, MO), Roslyn (Tony) Carr of Enid, OK, Rodney Irving-Millentree of Kansas City, MO, Lisa Millentree of Spartanburg, SC. Stepsisters: Ruth Cooper of Enid, OK, Jacqueline Davis, Jean Hufford, Mary Martin, and Steve Toliver, who all reside in Des Moines, Iowa; Her special Aunt: Charlene Lewis of Excelsior Springs, MO. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. When it came to her nieces and nephews, her world revolved around them. Homegoing services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at New Light Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Larry G. Featherstone officiating. Committal, prayers, and interment will follow at Enid Cemetery under the guidance of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.
