Evelene Marilyn (Lacquement) Doshier
1961-2023

Evelene was born at University Hospital in Okla. City, Ok on Sunday Jan. 8, 1961 to Chester and Blanche (Stewart) Lacquement.
She was the fourteenth child born in this family.

Evelene left the University Hospital with her mom in Ok City going to the family home in Tribbey Ok. By Oct.
1963 her dad, Chester Lacquement, had bought a farm centered between Cromwell, and the Okemah area.
In Okfuskee, County. Just down the road from Sandcreek Cemetery.

Her first year of school she had to drop out until the next year of school due to coming down with
Rheumatic Fever. Evelene began school in August of 1968 along with her sister Florence. The next 12
years of school the girls were almost as inseparable as twins and were often called the
Lacquement twins in Seminole Jr College even though 14 months separated their ages.
Their grandfather, Floyd Stewart had named them the Gold Dust Twins.

Evelene was Saved and Baptized in 1976 at First Baptist Church at Cromwell, Ok.

Evelene began working while in high school at Stuckeys, McGees Grocery and several other places.
She kept straight A's while in high school and graduated valedictorian of her Senior Class in 1980.
After graduation from high school with a scholarship for academic achievement
She went on to Seminole Jr College graduating in 1982. In the fall of
1982 she enrolled at OBU in Shawnee with a scholarship.and excelled in the top of her class and graduated
in 1985 with a teaching degree in Math- Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculous.

Evelene taught Jr High School at Hannah, Ok, Earlsboro, Ok and Padon, Ok.

Evelene met and later married the love of her life, Jim Doshier, on Mar. 15, 1999. Evelene became instant
mother / grandmother to Jims kids. Jim preceded her in death Feb. 17, 2012. Evelene had miscarried
a baby girl a short while after marrying Jim.

She was always willing to help others. She had many favorite sayings and one was
"Always be willing to teach a child. If you can teach a child one thing, your life has meaning and purpose."
This girl possessed many talents and gifts of making others smile. As true words spoken by one of her nieces,

Evelene was a daughter, a wife, a sister, an Aunt and grandmother to Jim's kids and grandkids, and A cousin.
