Kathleen Chaney was born June 29, 1938, to Elmer C. Townley and Elsie R. Townley, Ponca City, OK. She passed away on December 29, 2023, in Tulsa, OK. She was married to Lowell D. Chaney on December 18, 1954. Lowell predeceased her in 2010.
Kathleen and Lowell lived many years in Arizona. There they raised Jeanette, David, Evette, and Evyone. Due to Lowell’s military career, Kathleen spent a year living in Korea. They traveled between Arizona and Ponca City many, many times. Kathleen enjoyed cooking and baking for family gatherings and reunions. She also enjoyed fishing with David and watching football. She loved her home in Ponca City.
She is survived by her daughters and son, Jeanette (Mike Tie) David, Evette, and Evyone (Bobby Potter), her sisters Melba McGhee, Peggy Rice (Larry Rice), and her sister-in-law Margaret Townley. Her Brother-in-law Terry Chaney (Ernestine Chaney) Sisters-in-law Linda O’Malley and Judy Watson. Her grandchildren are Jason Durafourt (Joanna Durafourt) Christopher Morley (Brook Morley) Jessica Smith (Kevin Smith) Jordan Kuster, Nicole Bryan (Mark Bryan) James Caucus, Chance Dayton. and Alexander Medlen. Plus, great-grandchildren, Sebastian Durafourt, Baker Smith, Theo Morley, Naomi Bryan, Kennedy Smith, Link Bryan, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
