Funeral services for Kenneth Franklin Newman will be Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10:00 am in Christ United Methodist Church with Pastor Kwan Kim officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors by U.S. Army. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Kenneth was born on December 18, 1952 in Enid to Lennis and Minnie (Pribil) Newman and passed away on March 18, 2024 at his home with his family by his side.
He graduated from Carrier High School and served in the U.S. Army. On January 26, 1980, Kenneth married Carol Kratzer in Enid, where they made their home. He retired from Double Check and was the owner and operator of Enid Fire Equipment. Kenneth enjoyed gardening, boating, spending time with his kids and grandkids, fishing, grilling and working on projects.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lennis and Minnie Newman; in-laws, Harold and Bertha Kratzer.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Jennifer (David) Cripps, Jayme(Court) Newkirk and Jillian (Jon) Finder; grandchildren, William and Charlotte Newkirk; brother, Kelly Newman; sisters, Karol Walter and Kathleen Goddard; other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Christ United Methodist Church.
