The celebration of life for Lois Ann Smith, 71 year-old Enid resident is Saturday, September 16th 11AM-2PM  at the cabin on Imo Road. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Lois was born July 6, 1952 in Wellington, Kansas to

Eugene and Lila (Wilson) Deffenbaugh and died Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in Enid.

 

She married Ross Pierce on November 6, 1982 in Edmond, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Enid. Ann loved people. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She

Was also a wonderful cook and dedicated to her family and students. Ann worked for the Enid Public Schools and was celebrating 15 years as a substitute teacher this year.

Everywhere Ann went around town she would hear “Hi Mrs. P!” The kids at school also called her “Grandma”. She was also a huge O.U. Sooner Fan.

 

Ann was devoted to Ross and did everything she could to make him feel loved. We are comforted to know she is in the presence of Jesus, and we know we will see her again.

 

Ann was preceded in death by her Parents, Gene and Lila, a sister Carolyn Ancilla md a brother Dave Deffenbaugh.

 

She is survived by her husband Ross, of the home, daughters Shelley Martin and husband Dale, Michelle Robison and husband Pat, and Carie Canaday. Sons Mike Pierce and wife Dee, Caden Pierce, and James Moore.

Sister Cathy McKinney and husband Duane and Brother Tom Deffenbaugh and wife Debby. 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
