1955 - 2024
The celebration of life for Paul David Bischoff, a 68-year-old former Enid resident, will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2024, in the Oakwood Christian Church, with Rev. Angie Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Paul was born on March 20, 1955, in Rome, NY, to Fredrick and Francis (Cheek) Bischoff and died on Friday, March 8, 2024, in his home in Oklahoma City, surrounded by his family. The family moved to Enid, where Paul attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1973. He then attended Northwestern College in Alva, where he obtained a double degree in Education and Psychology. While at College, he was in the ROTC. He began his military career in the Air Force, where he completed OAS School. He later transferred to the United States Army, serving for over 30 years, retiring as a Colonel.
In September of 1984, he married Cindy Coffey, and to this union, two children were born, Steffen David and Taylor Rae. He later married Carol Reames White on April 24, 2014, in Ft. Walton, FL. In this union, he welcomed a son, Braden White.
In concurrence with his military career, he was a Revenue Officer with the IRS for twenty-five years. He also owned and operated Bischoff Brothers Statuary Inc.
Paul was baptized in the Lutheran Church and attended Redeemer Lutheran in Enid and was attending Life.Church in Mustang. He was passionate about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, achieving the rank of brown belt. He and Carol loved to travel. Paul was an accomplished athlete and loved all sports. He was also an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his wife Carol, residing at their home, along with his son Steffen Bischoff of OKC, daughter Taylor Schlesinger and her husband Dan of Fayetteville, AR. His son Braden White and his wife Bella of Mustang. He is also survived by his granddaughter Nora White, brother Larry Bischoff of Enid, sisters Dorothy Niles and her husband Rick of Edmond, and Mary Vandever and her husband Keith of Porter. Additionally, he is remembered by his mother-in-law "Mom" Imogene Reames of Enid, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
