FRISCO — Running back Zeke Elliott will suit up for the Cowboys for the 2024 season.

When Jerry Jones didn’t draft a running back in the 2024 NFL Draft, it became obvious that a Zeke Elliott reunion was on the horizon.

The Cowboys said a steak dinner last week helped seal the deal.

Elliott was released by the team last March after they were unable to come to an agreement on a reworked contract for the running back.

Jones says he believes that Elliott, who turns 29 in July, showed in New England last year that he has a lot left in the tank, so he’s signing Elliott to a reported one-year, up to $3 million deal.

Elliott first joined the Cowboys as their fourth-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
