The City of Enid Parks and Recreation department will host three events the last weekend of September.

Camping in the Park:

The public is invited to Meadowlake Park Friday, September 27, 2019 at 4:00PM to enjoy an evening of games, a scavenger hunt, and chomping down on s’mores. After a night hike and some sleep, breakfast will be in order.  To wrap up the fun, there will be more games and kids will get to make bird feeders.

Registration is required. We urge participants to register themselves and include everyone that will be in their tent(s) for the event to make sure they are on the list. Register at: Enid.org/ParkReservations.

Nerf Wars:

The free Nerf Wars event will be on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Meadowlake Park from 1:00PM to 3:00PM with registration at Pavilion #4.  There is no prior registration necessary for this event. Each participant must bring their own nerf gun and soft tip darts. Light snacks and refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the event.

Get to the Point:

The Enid community can drop off their used, unused, unwanted, and expired needles, syringes, lancets, and medications to be disposed at this event! We are taking it all back at Champion Park on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM.

Forgotten Ministries will provide food and it’s clothing van to give out jackets to those in need. The Austin Box “12” Foundation will be present with its Picnic for Progress partner community organizations. These and other organizations will have booths at the event to give out information about services they provide for the community.
