Earlier this morning after over seven hours into the special hearing, The Enid Public Schools Board of Education voted unanimously to terminate Mike Dods, ex-police chief of Enid High School. The board also voted unanimously to adopt findings of fact presented in the termination hearing. Over the course of the seven hours, seven witnesses were heard from.

Deliberation started after midnight and the decision was handed down an hour later. The special meeting set at 4 p.m and a handful in attendance wore red in support of Mike Dods.

This concludes a months long battle between Dods and EPS. Dods was under fire from administrators for reporting violent crimes to the district attorney and was questioned about specific incidents in the hearing.
