It was determined by an investigation by the 8th District Drug and Major Crimes Task Force that Enid Public Schools did not do anything illegal in their dismissal of former campus police chief Mike Dods.
The charges that Dods and his attorney Heath Merchen were accusing EPS of was almost entirely focused on obstruction of justice. Dods has been on the record of saying that he was told not to report certain violent student actions to the authorities and that there would be consequences if they do.
Back on December 11th, the EPS Board of Education voted unanimously to terminate dods after a public meeting and a 13 point finding of fact presentation.
