Board of Mayor and Commissioners Will Look at Alert System

(Enid, OK) Tonight’s Board of Mayor and Commissioners Special meeting for the city of Enid will take place at 6:30. On the agenda, city looks to adopt the State of Oklahoma’s color-coded COVID-19 alert system and provide specific measures tailored to the risk level for individuals, businesses, and vulnerable persons.

As of July 31, 2020, Garfield County was at Orange Moderate Risk on the Oklahoma Color-Coded Alert System. The new Alert System begins with Green “The New Normal”, Yellow “Low Risk”, Orange “Moderate Risk”, and Red “High Risk”.

The Oklahoma color-coded four-tiered COVID-19 Alert System begins with Green “The New Normal” when there are less than 1.43 daily new cases per 1000,000 population; Yellow “Low Risk” when the new daily cases per 100,000 population are between 1.43 and 14.39; Orange “Moderate Risk” when there are more than 14.39 daily new cases per 100,000 population; and Red “High Risk” when there are more than 14.39 daily new cases and one of the four additional red factors are present.
