Some surprising news coming from NOC Enid on Thursday. Aaron Butcher, who was NOC Enid’s men’s basketball coach for the last two seasons, has decided to step down.

Butcher will be heading back home to where it all began, in Akron, Indiana.

Butcher is resigning as the Jets basketball coach to become the new athletic director at Tippecanoe Valley High School in Akron, Indiana.

Butcher spent two seasons at NOC Enid and during his time the Jets were 29-34, with a 17-15 record this past season.

A new coach has yet to be announced.
