Over 1k More COVID-19 Cases in State, 13 More Deaths Also Reported

(Enid, OK) COVID-19 cases increased by 1,121 with 13 more deaths on Wednesday reported in the state, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

Eleven of the deaths were in the 65 and older range: three women and two men in Oklahoma County; men in Haskell, Cleveland, Tulsa and McCurtain counties; and women in Creek and Pushmataha counties. The two other reported deaths were a Tulsa County woman in the 50-64 age group and an Oklahoma County man in the 18-35 age group.

Garfield County cases rose by 15 to make the overall total 2,095 since March, with 342 of those being active cases, according to OSDH on Wednesday. Enid gained 16 new cases for a total of 1,932 overall, with 300 active cases.

There have been 23 COVID-19-associated deaths in Garfield County, all in Enid, according to OSDH. According to the Oklahoma State Department of Health, there have been 1,132 deaths, statewide, in which the virus was the cause or a contributing factor since the pandemic reached Oklahoma in March.
