30 More Deaths From COVID-19 Reported as State Sees 1.5k New Cases

(Enid, OK) Oklahoma saw 1,571 new COVID-19 cases and 30 virus-related deaths were reported on Tuesday, according to Oklahoma State Department of Health.

Garfield County’s COVID-19 cases increased by 28 on Tuesday for an overall total of 6,672, with 420 active cases within the county.

There have been 3,323 deaths, statewide, in which COVID-19 was the cause or a contributing factor.

Of the 30 deaths reported, 25 were in the 65 and older age group including two women and three men in Tulsa County, four women and two men in Oklahoma County, two men in Muskogee County, three Cleveland County women, one woman and one man in Greer County, one woman each in Seminole, Texas, Pottawatomie counties and one man each from Wagoner, Carter, Garvin, and Custer counties.

Three deaths were in the 50-65 age group including men from Rogers and Carter counties and a Muskogee woman. Two deaths were reported in the 36-49 age group including men from McClain and Cleveland counties.

Other Northwest Oklahoma county case increases Tuesday included eight in Alfalfa, six in Major, five in Woodward, four in Blaine, two in Kingfisher, two in Grant and one in Woods County.
