Thank You, Lord is a self-portrait of the artist, Oklahoma Hall-of-Famer H Holden.
Holden made this statue after receiving a life-saving single lung transplant in 1990 as a visual demonstration of his gratefulness to God for His goodness. The six-foot sculpture depicts a life-sized cowboy standing with his hat over his heart.
The statue was dedicated August 28, 1991 at the west entrance to Emmanuel Baptist Church, where Holden is a member.
