Enid Majors Enter Connie Mack South Plains Regional as Defending Champions

Like many Summer weekends in Downtown Enid, baseball will take the main stage at David Allen Memorial Ballpark this Wednesday through Sunday for the Connie Mack South Plains Regional. In 2021, the Enid Majors, an 18U travel team, stormed through the Connie Mack Playoffs, not only winning their region, not only winning the World Series in Farmington, NM, but doing so with an undefeated season at 37-0.

The Majors are very competitive this year, even though they are not perfect on the season. Enid has won every Connie Mack State and Qualifier game they’ve competed in, relying heavily on their exceptional pitching staff, a conglomerate of athletes across the state. A rotation featuring Brett Pense (Deer Creek-Edmond, UCO), Danny Satterlee (Wichita State, Southmoore), Jaxon Gless (Blanchard, Oklahoma), and Kyle Mantooth (Mustang, UCO) among others, has dominated opposing lineups.

The winner of the South Plains regional advances to the Connie Mack World Series in New Mexico, taking place July 21st-30th. Enid begins their run with an 8:15 PM scheduled game against the OK Express tonight.

Although some Connie Mack South Plains Regional games are scheduled to be played at NWOSU, all Majors games are held at David Allen Memorial Ballpark. Every Majors game will be broadcasted on CTBsports 1640/1390 AM KCRC/KZLS which can be heard in both the Enid and OKC markets, as well as nationwide on the CTB Sports App and EnidLive.com.
