Enid Officials Announce Road Closers for Next Week

Enid Officials released the following press releases.

City of Enid officials announced today, that on Monday, July 25th, there will be an intermittent lane closure on a portion of North Washington Street from West Pine Avenue to West Elm Avenue in the southbound lane, to allow Oklahoma Natural Gas to conduct necessary work.

In addition, the entrance to the alley on West Elm Avenue from North Washington Street to North Independence Avenue will be closed to traffic. This work is expected to last one month depending on the weather.

Motorists are encouraged to follow posted traffic control signs and to drive with caution in this area during the construction effort.

City of Enid Technical Services Department announced today, beginning on Tuesday, July 26th, that they will start testing and programming the school zone beacons for Chisholm Public Schools, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Schools, Enid Public Schools, and all other school beacons within Enid city limits.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted speed limit in these areas at all times while beacons are intermittently in flash mode for these two days.
