On Saturday, Oct. 1st Enid will host the Tri-State Music Festival which will begin at the downtown square. Then beginning at 1:30 pm bands will compete at Selby Stadium as a way of getting prepared for the upcoming district marching contest.

Tri-State Music Director Debbie Lambert in an interview with Enidlive said that the festival usually gets 500-700 viewers. However, Lambert would like to see even more support from the community saying “Well we could sure use more that could come down and watch”.

She went on to say that “people need to come down and watch it and enjoy that and support the kids”. As for the participants who are mostly high school and middle school students, Lambert said what she believed the parade means to them. “Oh they enjoy it that’s pretty neat to perform in front of your parent and perform in front of other people”

14 area bands will be performing in the field march, while 11 bands will be performing in the parade. A full marching schedule can be found at this link. http://tristatemusicfestival.com/Tri-State_Music_Festival/Director_Instructions_and_Marching_Schedule.html
