Craig Goldy, former member of Dio and Giuffria, is battling a mystery illness that has baffled his doctors and specialists. He shared the news on Facebook and said, "I've had a bit of a setback health-wise. Nothing life threatening but no known cause and no known cure for just 1 of 4 things going on."

Although a biopsy didn’t give him any answers, the 61-year-old is optimistic. He said, “"Everything happens for a reason and even bad things come with a benefit.”

In 1986, Goldy joined Dio during their Sacred Heart Tour when the band’s original guitarist Vivian Campbell was dismissed from the group due to a heated business altercation with Ronnie James Dio‘s management. Craig and Ronnie joined forces and composed such hits as “Dream Evil,” “One More For The Road,” and “As Long As It’s Not About Love.”
