Enid Ward 2 Commissioner Candidate Doug Boyle spoke with Enidlive.com about his upcoming election bid. Boyle described his platform as “individual freedoms, constitutional liberties, and protecting those for the residents of Enid”.

He also placed a heavy emphasis on infrastructure saying he would want “more of the city’s budget to go towards what is the primary role of this government and that’s to provide the infrastructure of the city to all citizens”.

Boyle also discussed his support for the Kaw Lake Water Supply Project and how if elected he wants to make sure it finishes on budget and on time. Boyle also believes his experience in the marine corps will help him be able to make difficult decisions.

“I graduated from Philips University and joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 2000. I came to Vance AFB as a Marine instructor pilot, part of an exchange program, and ultimately decided to transition to the Air Force Reserve in 2014. After 22 years of distinguished military service, I retired this year. My wife and I enjoy raising our six children in Enid. We are active in the community and at our church, where I serve as an elder. I continue to support the mission at Vance as a civilian simulator instructor and would like to serve our city as a commissioner this February”.
