CHITA RIVERA DIES AT 91: Deadline reports that Broadway legend Chita Rivera died on Tuesday (January 30th) following a brief illness at the age of 91. She starred in musicals such as West Side Story, Chicago, and Kiss of the Spider Woman. Rivera was nominated for several Tony Awards over the course of her career and took home two—as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018. She held roles in films such as Sweet Charity, Chicago, and tick, tick…BOOM! Stars such as Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jason Alexander took to social media on Tuesday (January 30th) to honor her. “There are no words to tell you what an incredible impact you have had on my life. From dreaming of being you as a little girl, then meeting you and then being deeply connected to you by playing the one and only Velma Kelly in Chicago,” Zeta-Jones wrote on Instagram. “There will never, ever, be anyone like you Chita, ever.”

‘SUITS’ TOPS ‘THE OFFICE’ WITH MOST MINUTES STREAMED IN A YEAR: Variety reports that Suits has broken a record previously held by The Office. Nielsen Data found that throughout 2023, Suits totaled 57.7 billion minutes watched—making it the most watched series in a single year. The Office previously held the title with 57.1 billion minutes watched in 2020.

KEVIN BACON AND KYRA SEDGWICK TO STAR IN A FILM TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 20 YEARS: According to Deadline, married couple Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are set to star in a film together for the first time in two decades. The pair will both hold roles in the film Connescence by King of Queens creator Michael J. Weithorn. The Footloose actor will play a security guard named Stan Olszewski, who stops a robbery at the home of Cynthia Rand, played by Sedgwick. From there, the pair start building a friendship that grows “into something that shakes the foundation of both their lives,” according to the outlet. “We are so excited to work together on screen again for the first time in 20 years in such a funny, moving and original script,” the couple said. Their last films together were Cavedweller and The Woodsman in 2004.

CHECK OUT THE TRAILER FOR ‘THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE:’ According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lionsgate dropped the official trailer for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare on Tuesday (January 30th). The film stars Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusanmokun, Henrique Zaga, Til Schweiger, Henry Golding, and Cary Elwes. It is based on a true story about a “top-secret combat unit” that was formed by Prime Minister Winston Churchill, which was “composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks” who go “on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly ‘ungentlemanly’ fighting techniques,” according to the official description. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is set to reach theaters on April 19th.
