Rebel Wilson has revealed that she lost her virginity at the age of 35 and wants to share her story to provide a "positive message" to others. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Wilson explained her decision to include this revelation in her upcoming memoir, Rebel Rising, which is set to be released on April 2.
Wilson hopes her story will ease the pressure on young people, stating, "Not everybody has to lose their virginity as a teenager." She wants to encourage individuals to wait until they are ready or more mature.
Wilson also reflected on her own experience as a late bloomer and the societal expectations surrounding sexuality. She added, "If I had been born 20 years later, I probably would've explored my sexuality more.”
