‘The Blair Witch Project’ Reboot In The Works At Lionsgate, Blumhouse

Jason Blum, known for low-budget horror hits, will work with Lionsgate to revive The Blair Witch Project, marking the start of a multi-picture agreement to reimagine horror classics. The plot details remain undisclosed, but Lionsgate chair Adam Fogelson promises a “new vision for Blair Witch.” Blum also expressed enthusiasm for the project, acknowledging the influence of the original film, which was made on a shoestring budget and went on to gross $248 million. The 1999 movie depicts the story of three student filmmakers who vanish during their exploration of the eponymous Blair Witch.
