The 17-year-old daughter of late Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell, Toni Cornell, honored her dad with a special social media post on what would have been his 58th birthday yesterday (Wednesday, July 20th). She shared a video of the two singing together when she was little, writing in part, “Losing you was one of the hardest things we had to go through. They say it gets easier with time, but as the days and years go by, and since we last saw you, we are missing you even more … Today, on your birthday, I think so so many join me in saying we miss you the MOST!!! . . . Happy Birthday to the greatest dad and most incredible human whose life continues to leave an incredible mark on everyone he touches.”

The song Toni and Chris are singing is Prince's “Nothing Compares 2 U."

Chris killed himself in 2017 in a hotel room in Detroit after performing a Soundgarden show at the Fox Theatre earlier that night.
