Fleetwood Mac member Christine McVie's cause of death has been revealed nearly six months after her death.

According to The Blast, reported by People magazine, McVie died of an ischemic stroke, which is when a "vessel supplying blood to the brain is obstructed."

Around the time of her passing, McVie's family said she had a short illness and described her as the "best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life. We were so lucky to have a life with her."

Cancer was a secondary cause, with a "metastatic malignancy of unknown primary origin" that was reportedly identified.

The outlet also says McVie suffered from "atrial fibrillation" or AFib, a type of heart arrhythmia.
