Bruce Springsteen fans are eagerly awaiting the roll out of his first E Street Band dates since 2017. "The Boss," who earlier this year performed an encore run of his Springsteen On Broadway show at Manhattan's St. James Theatre, has remarked that 2022 would likely be when the full band would hit the road.
Fans were given hope when a poster — featuring a previously unseen Danny Clinch photo of Springsteen — popped up at the main bus terminal Frankfurt, Germany advertising a June 10th concert at Frankfurt Deutsche Bank Park.
According to fan Internet posts, the general consensus is that the spring 2022 European tour dates were set to be announced but pushed back due to the incoming covid updates — and the Frankfurt station either "missed the memo" or simply jumped the gun. As it stands now, no official dates have been announced by Springsteen nor his promoters.
Steve Van Zandt feels that despite decades of worldwide success, the E Street Band remains a hidden treasure for many: ["It is nice, I mean, it kinda reflects the audience. Y'know, you're lookin' out there now and you're seeing there, four generations of people and sometime you kind feel it comes and goes with various generations, but y'know, the up and coming rock n' roll bands, and a lot of the indie bands and all the way to the hardcore punk bands are kind of focusing on the fact that we've always been an underground band, actually.
