Ashley McBryde recently revealed that she’s been sober for over a year.
The “Light on in the Kitchen” singer shared on Today’s Country Radio With Kelleigh Bannen, "I didn't check the counter, and I haven't, but it's, it's four hundred and fifty something days.”
McBryde explained that she “didn’t want to talk anybody about it, even lightly, until a year had passed,” because she had concerns about “screwing it up.”
The country star acknowledged that that she was going "overboard" because she was trying to numb her feelings, adding, "Well, that's weak, I'm not gonna accept that. I'd rather just hurt."
