Justin Bieber shared a photo of Morgan Wallen with a post that read, “Love this album.” He then quickly deleted it from Instagram after receiving backlash in light of Wallen’s use of the N-word earlier this year.

Bieber issued an apology, writing that he was unaware of the controversy. He said, “I had no idea that the guy whose music I posted, was recently found saying racist comments. As you know I don't support or tolerate any sort of racism or discrimination. I had no idea, I sincerely apologize to anyone I offended.”

Bieber admitted that he has also said some “incredibly ignorant” things in the past and then posted: “I believe it's important to bring this up to hopefully educate people who may be ignorant to the topic of racism and how hurtful it is.”

Morgan Wallen was initially banned from country radio stations and uninvited to awards shows and events. Soon afterwards, he entered rehab for 30 days.
