Kanye West blasted Adidas on Instagram yesterday, accusing the sports apparel company of selling “fake” Yeezy sneakers. “Not only are they putting out fake color ways that are not approved, they’re suing me for $250 million dollars,” he said. “They’re also not paying me for these shoes that they’re putting out that have my name on it.”
He went on to accuse the company of using “contract clauses” and “business experience” to “rape an artist, one of y'all's favorite artists, in front of y'all in broad daylight.” West also asked his fans to boycott the company, and wondered how the “system” would attack him next.
Adidas cut ties with him in 2022 over his antisemitic tirades, and has been figuring out how to get rid of all their Yeezys ever since. They’re still locked in private arbitration with West.
