A judge has ruled that Kelly Clarkson is the legal owner of the $10.4 million Montana ranch where her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock has been living since their split.

Documents obtained by E! News show that a judge upheld the couple’s premarital agreement, meaning that the talk show host takes control of the farm since she purchased the home.

Following their separation, the one-time talent manager quit his job to become a full-time rancher and court documents show he was “exclusively using” the Montana ranch as his “residence and business.”

Clarkson previously requested permission to sell the ranch because of the "financial burden" of maintaining a property that was only being used by her ex-husband. The court determined the cost of maintaining the ranch are $81,000 per month.
